Execute the following
Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL administration script in SSMS Query Editor to drop an index on the Employee table:
USE AdventureWorks
GO
IF EXISTS (SELECT *
FROM sys.indexes
WHERE object_id = OBJECT_ID(N'[HumanResources].[Employee]')
AND name = N'IX_Employee_ManagerID')
BEGIN
DROP INDEX [IX_Employee_ManagerID] ON [HumanResources].[Employee] WITH ( ONLINE = OFF )
PRINT 'INDEX DROPPED'
END
ELSE
PRINT 'INDEX NOT FOUND'
GO
