How to execute SQL queries at Command Prompt?

Execute the following SQLCMD command at Command Prompt in the Binn folder below. The command assumes Windows Authentication to the default server. The result is returned at the Command Prompt console:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Tools\Binn

SQLCMD -E -dAdventureWorks -Q"Select * from HumanResources.Department"
