| How to determine the domain name for the server? |

Execute the following Microsft SQL Server T-SQL script in SSMS Query Editor to find out the network domain name the server is operating on. The script calls an extended stored procedure for Windows 2003 server.
exec master.dbo.xp_regread 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE',
'SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon', 'CachePrimaryDomain'
